HUGE loss for us... no way for BK to spin it

getting only 1 CB was bad enough, but 2 WRs?? we have only 6 on scholarship now... lotsa 2TE sets to come next year and look for defectors from the defense(Collinsworth, Niklas) and GA III being taught to catch the ball

He is a huge loss, but I must say that losing this dope is not Kelly's fault, unless we want to hold Kelly accountable for recruiting no-brain idiots in the first place.

Apparently there was a "not wanting to play in his cousin's shadow" angle going. Deontay seems to have a bit of an inferiority complex. Needs to step out from Tee's shadow. Needs to prove himself or some such. But why Houston?? Did they arrange a harem of ho's for him?

There will be a day when Tee Shepard, smartly dressed in a fine wool business suit, will stop by the prison on the way home from his office job to visit his cousin DeonTAY. Deontay really made a huge mistake today. MAYBE he'll do well and one day play in the NFL, but that is not likely. Possible, but even with 5-star kids, it's still unlikely. So he could have had a Notre Dame degree, a 50-state meal ticket (ND graduates its players), and instead he opted to major in basket weaving at UH. Good luck, kid. You're gonna need it. Remember this day - this is the last day of your life you were famous for anything legal.

Hmmm. I live in Houson. Let's see; ugly campus, nasty stadium, non-BCS conference (for now); case keenum graduated; sumlin off to A&M, no tv exposure, crap academics...

But great strippers....

Yeah, you cant put this one on Kelly. Kid just caught a major case of the willies/buyers remorse. Kelly was classy without being disrespectful to DG or his own players. Not to mention, he kept recruiting alot of WRs til the last bell(Agholor, Payton, Treggs, Westkerkamp). Things didnt go totally awful with this class in the stretch(Amir Carlisle, Gunner, Shumate, Russell, Stanley) but there is no doubt now that the prevailing opinion is that if you want to land the Elite player under this regime, ND stands at a crossroads where winning big games will be the only ticket that'll gain you entrance to the park.

9 wins with a dash of December buzz gets you back there... 7 or 8 will feel like treading water and more of the same... Make or break year for this staff. Period.
