Are you $HITTING ME?? Talented players make those kind of mistakes all the time when they are NOT ADEQUATELY PREPARED. I had hopes that this team was going to be DISCIPLINED and PREPARED and so far, I am sorely afflicted by these two miserable losses. Both losses are on Brian Kelly. To his credit, he takes part of the blame (Weis always used to throw his players under the bus - "they did this and they did that and they didn't do such and such." At least Kelly talks of "WE flucked up."

I hate to say this, but if we go 0-3, I'll give you the name of a "better coach" - Mark Dantonio.

Mark Dantonio is not coming here. He is a downgrade to Brian Kelly. Brian Kelly has what it takes. Mark Dantonio does not. If you want to get your demolished in a 2nd tier bowl game by Alabama then by all means, hire that loser.

coach, we are at the 2nd tier bowl level right now! Al, hope you enjoyed the game Saturday. Sparty wasn't very impressive, and I believe we played our best game. As for not being prepared, how is it that we have not trouble putting up stats, or leading for a majority of the game, if we are as you believe, unprepared? This makes no sense. I think that talented players make fewer mistakes than untalented players. That is a big reason they are more talented. I don't for a minute believe that our coaches told our players to allow the Michigan receiver to get wide open, then miss him as he runs by. The players blew it, plain and simple. I have to give the staff props for getting the team off the floor and enegizing them for the MSU game. As for talent, Floyd has been the best player on the field in everygame we've played, and while we have decent talent, we do not have talent enough to be considered a threat to play in a BCS bowl. Hopefully that can change.

Let me get this straight - it's because we do not have talented players that we're turning the ball over, and it's because of excellent coaching that we're getting massive stats? Is that it?

I would assert that it's exactly the opposite.

And with respect to Mark Dantonio, please re-read my post ("IF we go 0-3...").

And in case you haven't read any of my other posts, I am NOT (yet) advocating getting a new coach. But I am also not convinced that Kelly is the guy, based on one win.

aldomer, I did not say that. You are the one that said we are unprepared. If our preperation is so poor, how is it that we run up big stats against our opponents in the 1st 3 games? Maybe because we had a good game plan. How did we lose 2 of the 1st 3 games? Maybe because our "talented" players couldn't make a play when needed.did our special teams coach drop a punt in game one to set up a score, no! Fumbles happen, but too many fumbles, in my eyes means lack of talent at that time. Interceptions, particularly the ones that we have thrown are attributed to poor throws by QB's that are not as talented as believed to be. The coaches have committed neither of these types of turnovers. We have top 25 talent, not top 10. Until that perception is realized, you and many others will be disappointed. As for the coach, let's give the man a chance. He too, may prove to be a top 25 coach, but not a top 10. With that in mind, let's go out and beat a pretty good Pitt team and go from there!
